Most care happens in the minute between taking a piece off and putting it away.
Skin oils, fragrance, humidity and friction collect slowly. A soft dry cloth and a separate resting place do more good than an occasional aggressive clean.

The after-wear ritual
Three quiet steps.

Wipe
Use a clean, soft, dry cloth. Work lightly across the surface rather than rubbing one spot.

Dry
Let any trace of moisture disappear before storage. Do not use heat to speed this up.

Separate
Store pieces apart so chains, stones, plating and hardware do not scrape against one another.
By material and construction
Know when “gentle” means “keep it dry.”

Water: start with the product page
Only let a piece get wet when its product page explicitly says that it can. Otherwise, remove it before showering, swimming, exercising or applying lotion and fragrance.
Brooches, copper and magnetic pieces
Keep these pieces dry. Wipe the visible surface, support the body of the piece when opening the fastening and never force a pin, clasp or magnetic component.
Pearl, shell, glass and adhesive-set details
Avoid soaking, steam, ultrasonic cleaning and chemical dips. Moisture can reach recessed or adhesive-set areas even when the front looks sealed.
Gold-plated finishes
Use a soft dry cloth and minimal pressure. Avoid abrasive cloths, toothpaste, baking soda, polishing compounds and household cleaners, which can remove or dull the plated surface.
When to stop and ask
If a stone moves, a pin resists, a clasp changes shape or you are unsure of the material, stop cleaning and email us with the product name or link and a clear photograph.
