What does 18K mean?
Pure gold is 24K. An 18K gold alloy is 18 parts gold out of 24, mixed with other metals to create its color and working properties. On gold-plated jewelry, that alloy forms the surface while the structure underneath is a different metal. The karat number identifies the gold alloy’s fineness; it does not tell you how thick the plated layer is.
Why the base metal matters
Different designs need different structures. Depending on the piece, TUUGLOW may use stainless steel, brass, copper alloy, or another alloy beneath the finish. A chain, cuff, brooch, and stone-set design may therefore have different wear and care notes.
Gold plating, PVD, and solid gold

Can TUUGLOW stainless-steel jewelry get wet?
Yes. TUUGLOW jewelry made with a stainless-steel base can be worn while showering or swimming. After contact with soap, chlorine, salt water, sweat, sunscreen, lotion, or fragrance, rinse with clean water or wipe gently and dry the piece completely with a soft cloth to help preserve its shine.

How to care for 18K gold-plated jewelry
