Jewelry Care
Simple care tips to help your tuuglow jewelry stay beautiful for longer.
Brass
Plated jewelry refers to a layer of precious metal, such as gold or rhodium, applied to the surface of a base metal. At tuuglow, we use genuine precious metals for our platings to help each piece maintain a beautiful finish.
To preserve the quality of your jewelry, avoid contact with chemicals, moisture, perfume, lotions, and harsh environments. If your jewelry comes into contact with water, gently dry it with a soft cloth or tissue.
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel jewelry combines strength and durability with a polished finish made for everyday wear. Stainless steel is naturally tarnish-resistant and more water-friendly than many other materials.
To keep the finish looking its best, we still recommend avoiding harsh chemicals and excessive moisture. After contact with water or chemicals, wipe the piece dry with a soft cloth.
Stainless Steel Watch
Watches should be treated with the same care as jewelry. Avoid direct contact with perfume, hairspray, lotion, and cleaning products. A jewelry polishing cloth can be used to gently remove fingerprints and restore shine.
For battery replacement, we recommend taking your watch to a qualified local watch repair center or jeweler. Proper sealing after battery replacement is important to help protect the watch mechanism from liquid damage.
Freshwater Pearl
Freshwater pearls are delicate and should be handled with care. Avoid contact with perfume, hairspray, cosmetics, water, heat, and abrasive materials.
After each wear, gently wipe pearls with a soft cloth and store them separately in a soft pouch to help prevent scratches.
Sterling Silver
Sterling silver jewelry has a timeless look, but it may naturally oxidize over time. Plated sterling silver pieces should be kept away from moisture and harsh chemicals to help protect the plating layer.
If your jewelry comes into contact with water, dry it gently with a soft cloth. Store it in a clean, dry place when not in use.
General Care Tips
- Remove jewelry before swimming, showering, exercising, or sleeping.
- Avoid direct contact with perfume, lotion, sunscreen, and cleaning products.
- Store pieces separately to reduce scratches and tangling.
- Use a soft dry cloth to clean your jewelry after wear.
